Series 4 Players Now Rated for Use in Extreme Cold

Cambridge, UK, Friday, 22 March, 2019) – BrightSign, LLC®, the global market leader in digital signage media players, today announced that its Series 4 players are certified for use in temperatures as low as -20° Celsius. At launch, BrightSign’s Series 4 players were rated for use in temperatures up to 70° C – a feat achieved via BrightSign’s patented, heat-dissipating, anodised aluminium case design. This recent certification for low-temperature use establishes a 90-degree Celsius extended thermal operational range for BrightSign’s players, making them ideal for use in virtually any extreme-temperature setting.

“Operating at high temperatures is a common requirement for our players because they’re frequently installed in confined spaces with limited ventilation,” said BrightSign CEO Jeff Hastings. “But with rapidly expanding use-cases, we see a growing demand for players rated for low-temperature operation. The rapid rise of digital signage used in outdoor applications is placing a renewed emphasis on players’ ability to function in all temperature extremes.
