The company will join Absen’s trusted network of Value Added Distributors.
Absen, a recognised leader in the production of LED solutions, has welcomed Prase Media Technologies into its Value Added Distributor (VAD) network.
The company joins a long list of Midwich Group plc group members from France, the UK, the Netherlands, Germany and Spain, in choosing to begin working with Absen.
The agreement will see Prase, established in 1993, promote Absen LED products in its home region of Italy and provide training for local end users, as well as building showrooms, exhibiting at relevant trade fairs, organising roadshows and so on.
The agreement, effective 1 July 2019, will also strengthen the burgeoning video portfolio of the Veneto-based distributor; a decision taken in direct response to the demands of rental professionals in the area.
“Prase started life as an audio distributor, setting very high standards for ourselves along the way,” said Ennio Prase, managing director and BDM at Prase Media Technologies. “Recently, we have been working hard to build our video portfolio up to meet those same levels and have identified Absen as a perfect partner in this process.”
He continued: “Absen is one of the industry leaders in LED technology and they share our vison about the market potential of Italy. We fully intend to contribute to the growth of it, not only by responding to demand, but by creating new opportunities via Absen’s innovative technologies.”
Prase Media Technologies has a highly specialized team of engineers in charge of both pre- and post-sales assistance, as well as a dedicated marketing team, nationwide sales team, and up-to-date logistics facilities. The company also works across the install, rental, broadcasting and retail verticals.

In the rental sector in particular, a channel that I personally deal with, our portfolio showed a substantial technological gap. Prase has expanded significantly into the rental market with their other marquee brands and plan to target the LED vertical with a similarly focused mentality. Opportunities in the area range from corporate events large and small to live music and control room applications.
“The CR series will also represent a great opportunity for us, as control rooms are a very specific market. They will definitely represent a good driver for us,” said Prase.
Prase has specifically identified Absen’s award-winning AX series as being perfectly suited to rental events in the region, particularly where corporate clients are targeting top-notch quality and smaller screens. Prase concluded: “Absen’s quality and endurance are already well known within Italian AV professional market. This new partnership will merge two companies focused on providing the best quality and service to the client. I’m confident that this announcement will be more than welcome in the country.”
