Review Display Systems (RDS) has announced an extensive new line of medium-sized TFT displays.
The new range, spanning from 5-inch to 12-inch sizes, is designed to cater to a broad spectrum of industry sectors and applications. With brightness specifications ranging from 300cd/m² to a striking 1000cd/m², these displays are equipped to handle even the most challenging environments, including direct sunlight exposure.
Justin Coleman, display business manager at RDS, said, “Our new range of cost-effective TFT display modules offers a variety of on-board features and value-add options. The 5-inch to 12-inch displays continue to be a popular choice for many industrial-based, user interface applications, providing excellent cost performance with guaranteed continuity of supply.”
The displays can be easily customised with cover glass or touchscreens, making them suitable for a wide range of interactive applications. Moreover, optical bonding and UV protection options enhance their durability and performance in high brightness and outdoor settings.
The displays support various interface types, including CMOS, RGB, LVDS, eDP, and MIPI, catering to different connectivity needs. LVDS, in particular, is highlighted for its popularity in industrial applications due to its low power consumption and robust high-speed data transfer capabilities.
For applications in extreme conditions, RDS offers models with an extended operating temperature range of -30°C to +85°C, further broadening the potential use cases for these displays.
